Quezon Wind Energy Corp. (QWEC), a subsidiary of Vena Energy, a leading green energy solutions provider across the Asia-Pacific region, marked another significant milestone in its community engagement efforts with a check turnover ceremony held in Quezon City for its host community—the Dumagat/Remontado Indigenous Peoples (IPs) of General Nakar, Quezon.

The ceremony underscores Vena Energy’s continuing commitment to supporting its host communities beyond recognizing and respecting their rights and cultural heritage. The event formally transferred community funds allocated under the Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC) process to the Pigtaanan ne Dumagat–Remontado de General Nakar, Quezon (PDRGNQ), the designated Implementing IP Organization.

This partnership reflects Vena Energy’s dedication to community-led development, with initiatives shaped by the priorities identified by the Quezon IPs themselves. These include programs focused on infrastructure development, education access, sustainable livelihood opportunities, and enhanced healthcare services.

Representatives from Vena Energy, led by Mia Jarumayan, Head of Business Development and Project Development, attended the turnover ceremony alongside indigenous leaders and elders from the Quezon IP community.
