Global digital business services company TP in the Philippines is expanding its local footprint with the opening of its 29th site in the country, reinforcing its long-term investment in Filipino talent and the growing demand for technology-enabled business services.

Located at the Four E-Com Center within the SM Mall of Asia complex in Pasay City, the new operations hub is expected to create more than 1,000 job opportunities for Filipinos. It is TP’s second site in Pasay, complementing its existing operations at the MAAX Building, which currently hosts more than 5,000 TP customer experts.

The new facility will support TP’s growing global clientele as more international businesses expand their operations in the Philippines and seek a combination of human expertise, digital capabilities, and artificial intelligence (AI) to manage increasingly complex customer and business operations.

“Our expansion in Pasay reflects our global clients’ continued confidence in the Philippines and in Filipino talent’s ability to thrive with technology,” said Rahul Jolly, CEO of TP in the Philippines. “AI is reshaping work while expanding what people can achieve. For TP, the opportunity is to combine AI with our people’s expertise and emotional intelligence, empowering them to take on more complex work.”

AI And Filipino Talent At The Core

The expansion comes as AI continues to reshape the global business services industry. Recent analysis from HSBC Global Investment Research found that concerns over an AI-driven collapse of the Philippine outsourcing sector have not materialized, with business-services exports and employment continuing to expand alongside the adoption of generative AI.

Industry analysis suggests that AI is changing tasks and workflows before eliminating entire service categories. As routine activities become increasingly automated, human expertise is becoming more important in areas involving judgment, exceptions, domain knowledge, relationship building, and oversight of AI-enabled processes.

According to the Information Technology and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP), the Philippine IT-BPM industry generated approximately US$40.3 billion in revenue and employed 1.89 million people in 2025. The country’s share of global IT-BPM services headcount also increased from 15% in 2022 to 17% in 2025.

For TP, this evolving landscape reinforces the value of a hybrid workforce where AI-enabled systems work alongside human experts. Beyond cost competitiveness, global clients are increasingly seeking partners that can combine Filipino talent with AI, technology, and industry expertise to manage more complex work and deliver stronger outcomes.

Expanding Opportunities For Filipino Professionals

During the site inauguration, representatives from the Pasay City government, IBPAP, HIMAP, CXAP, SM Prime Holdings, and PEZA were present. PEZA Director General Theo Panga also delivered remarks through a speech played during the program.

“The IT-BPM sector remains one of the strongest pillars of our economy, as we now have over 1000 registered IT BPM enterprises under PEZA,” said Panga. “Every new hub like this one adds to that story, and reaffirms why the Philippines continues to be a top destination for global business services.”

TP has been operating in the Philippines for 30 years and recently received its ninth consecutive Great Place to Work certification. The company has expanded to approximately 60,000 employees nationwide, with operations across Metro Manila and regional IT hubs in Cebu, Bacolod, Baguio, Clark, Cagayan de Oro, Davao, Laoag, and General Santos.
