Thai digital superstar Aon Somrutai has officially made her highly anticipated first visit to the Philippines, marking a major milestone in her career as the newest artist under GLXY Talent Management and Universal Records Philippines.
Renowned for her lifestyle, fashion, luxury, and travel content, Aon has built a massive following across social media, making her one of Thailand’s most recognizable online personalities. Her signature catchphrase, “Thank You, Kateyki!” has become a viral sensation across Asia, earning her a loyal international fanbase.
Accompanied by her husband, affectionately known to fans as “Doctor,” Aon arrived in Manila on July 13 for a packed schedule of media appearances, collaborations, and exclusive engagements aimed at introducing her to Filipino audiences.
Her Philippine journey kicked off with an intimate welcome dinner at Lola Ote Restaurant, where members of the press and digital media gathered to meet the Thai sensation. During the event, Aon sat down for interviews, interacted with journalists, and met several of the country’s top content creators, including Drag Race Philippines Season 2 star M1ss Jade So and TikTok personalities Evan Tan and Andrea So.
To make her feel at home, Aon received a thoughtful welcome package featuring a balloon bouquet from Babina Balloons and a traditional banig bag filled with uniquely Filipino treats and souvenirs. The gift assortment included chichirya, dried mangoes, a pamaypay, a wooden back scratcher, and adorable plush versions of local street food favorites such as fishballs, kwek-kwek, and isaw from Common Room PH and Pop Junk Love.
One of the highlights of her visit was a collaboration with social media personality Small Laude, who invited Aon and her husband for a mukbang video featuring authentic Filipino cuisine. During the shoot, Small introduced the couple to some of Lola Ote Restaurant’s signature dishes, including its famous sisig and barbecue, giving Aon her first taste of some of the country’s most beloved comfort food.
On July 14, Aon graced an exclusive MEGA Magazine cover shoot at Salon de Ning inside The Peninsula Manila. While at the iconic hotel, she also filmed a playful video of herself riding a seated electric scooter while wearing an elegant evening gown. The clip quickly became a viral hit, garnering more than 11 million views on Instagram and over 3 million views on TikTok.
Aon continued her whirlwind Philippine tour with a special guest appearance on the hit noontime program It’s Showtime on July 15. She delighted viewers by joining the hosts in dancing to the viral song “Oooh La La Baby” by the Baby Dolls, earning cheers from both the live studio audience and fans watching nationwide.
Throughout her stay, Aon was hosted at Seda Vertis North, while Transportverse served as her official transportation partner, ensuring smooth travel to her various media engagements, interviews, photoshoots, and appearances around Metro Manila.
Completing her glamorous look was a talented Filipino beauty team composed of hairstylists Mark Anthony Rosales and Vannie Claveria, along with makeup artists Pam Carreon and Make Up by MIRS.
Aon’s successful Philippine debut marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter under GLXY Talent Management and Universal Records Philippines. Following the overwhelming reception from Filipino fans and the viral success of her Manila content, more collaborations, music releases, brand partnerships, media appearances, and special projects are already in the pipeline.
If her first visit is any indication, Filipino fans can look forward to seeing Aon Somrutai back in the country very soon.
