SLAYYYTER is turning heartbreak into pop spectacle with the release of her new single and self-directed music video, “brand new chanel$,” following the launch of her sold-out WOR$T GIRL IN THE WORLD TOUR with three hometown shows in St. Louis.

The new track arrives on the heels of her critically acclaimed third album, WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Dance Albums chart and at No. 22 on the Billboard 200. The album was also named a Best New Album by Pitchfork and has appeared on numerous 2026 best-of lists from publications including Rolling Stone, Billboard, Variety, ELLE, Vulture, The Ringer, Stereogum, Paste, The FADER, and FLOOD Magazine.

In “brand new chanel$,” SLAYYYTER channels heartbreak into a high-drama pop anthem filled with late-night phone calls, after-parties, and designer obsession. The song captures the push and pull of emotional attachment before ultimately embracing the clarity and confidence that come with walking away.

The accompanying music video, which SLAYYYTER also directed, revisits the same house featured in her “BEAT UP CHANEL$” video. It includes visual callbacks to the earlier release, including a recreation of its fireworks shot, as well as an inverted take on the WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA album artwork.

A WOR$T GIRL Summer Continues

SLAYYYTER’s new release comes as she continues a sold-out world tour supporting WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA. Following her three hometown performances in St. Louis, the tour will travel across North America, Australia, South America and Europe, with stops in Los Angeles, New York, Toronto, Sydney, Melbourne, São Paulo, Paris, and other major cities before concluding in London on November 5.

Pearly Drops will join SLAYYYTER as support throughout the North American and UK dates, except for St. Louis, while KALIKA will support the European shows.

The pop star will also return to the festival circuit following standout appearances at Coachella and Governors Ball. Her upcoming festival performances include Lollapalooza in Chicago on July 31, Reading & Leeds Festivals from August 27 to 30, and All Things Go Festival in Washington, D.C., from September 25 to 27.

From Underground Favorite to Pop Breakout

SLAYYYTER has built a reputation for constantly reinventing her sound and image since the release of her 2019 self-titled mixtape. She followed it with her 2021 debut album, Troubled Paradise, and 2023’s STARFUCKER, establishing herself as a shape-shifting force in contemporary pop.

Her early breakout single “Daddy AF” became a viral hit and later featured in a key scene in the Oscar Best Picture-winning film Anora. The success helped earn her recognition from major music and culture publications while leading to opening opportunities alongside artists including Tove Lo and Kesha.

With WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA, SLAYYYTER embraces her St. Louis roots and the sounds that shaped her adolescence, blending punk, pop and rap influences into what she describes as “iPod music.” Singles including “BEAT UP CHANEL$,” “CANNIBALISM!” and “CRANK” helped build anticipation for the album throughout 2025.

The result is an album that presents SLAYYYTER at her most personal and creatively assured—an evolution that continues with “brand new chanel$” and its unapologetic take on heartbreak, independence and self-expression.
