High above the city skyline, where Phnom Penh’s evolving hospitality scene meets global perspective, Rosewood Phnom Penh celebrates its eighth anniversary with a two-day gathering that brings sustainability and cocktail culture into meaningful dialogue. Taking place on February 6 and 7, 2026, the Sora Sustainable Summit x Phnom Penh Cocktail Festival positions the hotel—and its rooftop bar Sora—as a catalyst for responsible luxury and regional creative exchange.

The event builds on Sora’s recent international recognition, having received the Ketel One Sustainable Bar Award from The World’s 50 Best Bars, and underscores Rosewood Phnom Penh’s belief that thoughtful innovation and environmental responsibility can—and should—exist seamlessly within world-class hospitality.

“Sustainability is not a trend for us; it is a responsibility and an opportunity,” said Daniel Simon, Managing Director of Rosewood Phnom Penh. “Through Sora, we have shown that world-class bar culture and environmental responsibility can coexist naturally. This anniversary is a moment to share that journey, invite conversation, and continue leading with purpose.”

Sustainability, Lived and Shared

On Friday, February 7, the celebration opens with the Sora Sustainable Summit, a free, half-day gathering designed to move sustainability beyond theory and into everyday practice. Beginning at 2:00 pm in the Sky Lobby, guests are invited on a guided sustainability tour of the hotel, including its hydroponic garden and sky farm, where herbs and produce are cultivated for use across Rosewood Phnom Penh’s kitchens and bars.

From 3:00 pm, the summit continues at Pavilion with guest speakers and a panel discussion focused on how hospitality professionals are embedding sustainability into daily operations—covering topics such as mindful sourcing, waste reduction, creative reuse, and long-term operational thinking. Rooted in transparency and practicality, the summit reflects Rosewood Phnom Penh’s philosophy that meaningful change is often driven by small, consistent decisions.

A New Chapter for Cocktail Culture in Phnom Penh

As the sun sets, attention shifts skyward to Sora, which hosts the second edition of the Phnom Penh Cocktail Festival over two nights. Bringing together 16 regional and international bars, the festival celebrates collaboration, diversity of expression, and the growing confidence of Phnom Penh as an emerging cocktail destination.

With free entry and cocktails priced at USD 8, guests are invited to explore a wide range of cocktail philosophies while taking in Sora’s panoramic city views. Participating bars include acclaimed names from across Asia and Cambodia, such as Workshop 14 x Samai (Hanoi), Bar S-OTTO (Shanghai), Lennon’s (Bangkok), Smoke and Bitters (Sri Lanka), alongside leading local bars from Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, and Kep.

Eight Years Above the City

Together, the Sora Sustainable Summit and Phnom Penh Cocktail Festival reflect eight years of Rosewood Phnom Penh as more than a luxury hotel—it is a space where hospitality, culture, and community intersect. By pairing sustainability-driven dialogue with progressive bar culture, the hotel continues to shape conversations that extend beyond the glass, positioning Phnom Penh as a city where responsible luxury and creative leadership are increasingly intertwined.
