Hong Kong SAR — January 8, 2026 — In celebration of Valentine’s Day, Regent Hong Kong unveils “The Blooming Swans,” a sculptural afternoon tea stand created in collaboration with Hong Kong copper artists COXPER and the hotel’s pastry team led by Executive Pastry Chef Andy Yeung, alongside Sous Chef Chase Tse. Guests can experience the immersive “Journey of Love” afternoon tea at The Lobby Lounge from February 9 to 15, set against cinematic views of Victoria Harbour.

More than a vessel for pastries, “The Blooming Swans” is a handcrafted copper sculpture that transforms afternoon tea into a poetic narrative. Inspired by the swan—symbol of fidelity and lifelong partnership—the stand’s three tiers represent love’s stages: the Bud (Anticipation), the Bloom (Growth), and the Full Flower (Fulfilment). Copper arcs rise like swan necks, while petal and feather motifs reflect tenderness, harmony, and devotion. Natural patina tones of rose, amber, and gold celebrate the beauty of imperfection—mirroring love’s evolution over time.

The artwork is crafted by real-life couple Nathan Wong and Hazel Lee of COXPER, whose shared philosophy of emotional storytelling through form aligns seamlessly with the pastry team’s meticulous craftsmanship. Together, they unite copper shaped by flame and pastries sculpted by hand into a single sensory experience.

On the plate, Chef Yeung’s creations echo the theme: Vanilla Flower captures love’s first promise; Hiniko Rose expresses joyful growth with rose, hazelnut, and raspberry; and Hibiscus Pear reflects serene fulfilment through refined balance. Thoughtfully designed for renewal, the copper stand is reusable and reimagined season after season—an enduring symbol of artistry, sustainability, and love that blossoms with time.
