I recently joined Justine and Jenna Ezarik on the Same Brain Podcast to dive into the latest AI trends and how they’re transforming our devices and daily workflows. I got to showcase some of the coolest on-device generative AI products, proving that you don’t need artistic skill to create amazing visuals.
AI in Everyday Life
AI tools are part of my daily routine, boosting productivity and creativity—whether it’s inventing cocktail recipes, writing birthday poems, or settling quirky family debates. Many devices now integrate AI into apps we already use, keeping you “in the flow.” For example, Chromebooks with Gemini make it easy to search and organize tabs, while the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 leverages a MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chip and NPU for advanced image generation.
Agentic AI: Personalized Assistance
Agentic AI goes a step further, proactively learning your preferences to provide personalized help. On the podcast, I gave an example of a chatbot automatically booking your airport ride based on your preferred rideshare and timing habits—helping reduce the mental load of planning and scheduling.
On-Device AI Processing
While generative and agentic AI are usually cloud-based, more processing is moving to the edge. Powerful NPUs now allow devices to run large AI models locally, reducing latency, protecting privacy, and personalizing the experience. Beyond mobile devices, systems like NVIDIA’s DGX Spark enable developers to prototype AI models with up to 200 billion parameters locally, thanks to the GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip co-designed with MediaTek, combining performance and efficiency.
Bottom line: AI is becoming faster, smarter, and more personal by moving closer to us—on our devices and at the edge—helping us get more done, creatively and efficiently.
