Okada Manila served as the official venue partner for Otaku Pop Fes 2026, hosting a two-day celebration of anime, cosplay, music, and pop culture at the Grand Ballroom and Cove Manila from April 25 to 26, 2026.

Bringing together fans, creators, performers, and industry partners, the festival transformed the integrated resort into a vibrant hub for Japanese pop culture and entertainment within a world-class setting.

The festivities began with an exclusive reception attended by media partners, sponsors, Japanese officials, and executives. Guests included Mr. Akinori Osaki of CyberE Inc., Mr. Shigehiro Matsuda of the Japan Information and Culture Center and the Embassy of Japan in the Philippines, Okada Manila President and Chief Operating Officer Nobuki Sato, and CBZN Perspective’s Ayee Calma.

“As an integrated resort shaped by both Japanese excellence and Filipino warmth, Okada Manila is a natural home for an event like Otaku Pop Fes,” said Sato. “It brings together communities through creativity, shared passion, and cultural exchange.”

Throughout the event, attendees explored anime and gaming booths, themed attractions, and cosplay showcases at the Grand Ballroom inspired by popular titles such as Dan Da Dan, Tokyo Revengers, Naruto, Spy x Family, and Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End. Interactive activities and photo installations gave fans immersive experiences inspired by their favorite series.

Meanwhile, Cove Manila became the venue for live music performances under its signature UV-protected glass dome. The lineup featured performances from DJ Kazu, Japanese artists Eir Aoi and Hiroshi Kitadani, as well as South Korean girl group UNIS, delivering energetic sets across both nights of the festival.

One of the major highlights was the Otaku Pop Fes Cosplay Cup, where top cosplayers showcased elaborate costumes and stage performances inspired by iconic anime and gaming characters. The competition celebrated the artistry and craftsmanship within the cosplay community.

Fans also enjoyed meet-and-greet sessions with special guests Zackt, Roxanne Kho, Lia Bear, Awie, Prince De Guzman, and Myrtle Sarrosa.

The successful staging of Otaku Pop Fes 2026 further highlighted Okada Manila’s capability to host large-scale international events that combine entertainment, culture, and community engagement in a single destination.
