As medical plan costs in the Philippines continue to face projected increases, Maxicare Group is bringing healthcare and financial protection closer together through the rebranding of MaxiLife as Maxicare Insurance.

The move marks another step in Maxicare’s evolution from a traditional health maintenance organization into a broader healthcare group that brings together health plans, clinic services, and insurance. Following regulatory approval from the Insurance Commission, Maxicare Insurance is now formally aligned with the wider Maxicare Group and its network of 51 Maxicare Clinics nationwide.

“This rebrand is more than a change in name,” said Glanvill Marquez, Chief Executive Officer of Maxicare Insurance. “As part of one unified Maxicare Group, Maxicare Insurance extends the care we provide beyond health plans and clinic access to include financial protection for life’s unexpected moments.”

Making Protection More Accessible

Maxicare Insurance aims to bridge the gap between healthcare and financial protection through its Ease Series, a portfolio of annually renewable health and life insurance products designed around specific protection needs.

HealthEase provides critical illness and death coverage of up to ₱250,000, with premiums starting at ₱488 annually. LifeEase offers up to ₱250,000 in life, accident, and disability protection, starting at ₱388 annually.

For workers who are frequently on the move, ProtectEase provides accident coverage of up to ₱250,000, with premiums starting at ₱388 annually. ProtectEase Professional offers enhanced protection for gig workers, self-employed professionals, and individuals in higher-risk occupations, with premiums starting at ₱398 annually.

Connecting Care And Protection

Now entering its fourth year of operations, Maxicare Insurance will be supported by Maxicare Group’s wider healthcare ecosystem, which includes more than 1,100 affiliated hospitals and clinics, 749 dental clinics, and 22,400 partner physicians nationwide.

By bringing healthcare services and financial protection under one group, Maxicare aims to give Filipinos more accessible options for preventive care, medical needs, and unexpected life events.
