Mala King Mala King Hotpot Brings the Bold Taste of Chongqing to Arcovia City

Founded by Kyle Yu, Mala King was inspired by travels to Chongqing—where the famous mala heat meets the joy of communal dining. “We wanted to bring that same experience here in Manila—authentic, consistent, and premium while still reasonably priced,” Yu shared.

At its heart are six signature broths that define the Mala King experience: the bold and customizable Mala Original, comforting Golden Chicken, bright Signature Tomato, sweet-savory Sukiyaki, rich Premium Bulalo, and zesty Spicy Tom Yum. Each broth is crafted to pair beautifully with fresh meats, seafood, vegetables, and noodles, letting guests personalize their bowls to match any craving.

Premium Ingredients

Diners can build their own bowl by choosing from a wide array of ingredients—premium beef slices, seafood favorites like scallops and bamboo clams, and fresh vegetables including lotus root and broccoli. Guests can opt for either a dry mix or a hotpot bowl, with servings starting at roughly ₱500+ (20 toppings, noodles excluded). Each meal comes with rice and free ice cream, making it both indulgent and satisfying.

A full sauce bar invites experimentation, from chili oil and five spice to garlic purée, wansoy purée, hoisin, and sesame blends—each adding a personal touch to every bite. Signature iced teas such as Raspberry Cooler, Watermelon Breeze, and Orange Sunrise balance the heat with fresh, natural flavors.

With authentic broths, fresh premium ingredients, and a cozy communal setup, Mala King Hotpot is set to become Metro Manila’s newest go-to dining destination. Visit them at Arcovia City, Pasig, or follow @themalaking on Instagram and @themalakingph on TikTok for updates.
