Maki continues to build out his “KOLORCOASTER” universe with the release of his latest pink-themed single, “habangbuhay pansamantala,” alongside its official music video.
The track—described as a “pink anthem”—explores the emotional weight of being treated as a temporary presence in someone’s life, while still holding on to the hope of a lasting love.
“It’s very contrasting na ipagsama but it all makes sense kasi it reflects yung nafi-feel ko na forever ba akong magiging temporary na tao for other people,” Maki shared, reflecting on the meaning behind the song’s title.
Written by Maki himself, the song was co-produced with Jacob Clemente, Tati de Mesa, and Jovel Rivera, blending intimate storytelling with soft, emotive melodies that highlight vulnerability and longing.
The ABS-CBN Music artist also spoke about his collaboration with SB19’s Justin for the music video, praising his creative input and synergy.
“Justin is a very intelligent creative person. Sobrang gets namin yung isa’t isa kaya no’ng sinabi ko yung ideas ko sa kanya, game agad siya. Super gaan niyang katrabaho,” he said.
Following the success of his debut album “KOLORCOASTER,” Maki recently surpassed 1 billion all-time Spotify streams, marking a major milestone in his career. He is also set to bring his music to international audiences through his Southeast Asian tour, with stops at The Theatre at Mediacorp in Singapore on June 13 and Bengkel Space in Jakarta on June 14.
