The Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines has welcomed K-pop star and actor Kim Myung Soo and rising actor Choi Bo Min as their newest Tourism Ambassadors for Korea, aiming to strengthen travel ties between the Philippines and South Korea.
The official announcement took place at Consuelo by Chef Vince Garcia, where both stars donned custom Filipino creations by designer Avel Bacudio. Their outfits featured intricate embroidery inspired by jeepneys, the bahay kubo, and street vendors, crafted from handwoven abaca, piña, silk cocoon, and inabel fabrics. Beyond their celebrity status, the duo now partners with TPBPHL to inspire more Korean travelers to explore the Philippines.
Arriving for a short but packed visit on December 13–14, the stars started with golf at Beverly Place Golf Club in Clark, Pampanga, highlighting the country’s wellness and luxury appeal. They also participated in the PUMA Clark Half Marathon, with Choi Bo Min joining the 5K alongside local fans, while Kim Myung Soo shared his plans to visit Siargao and hinted at inviting his INFINITE groupmates for future trips.
Both stars have strong ties to the Philippines. Kim Myung Soo has visited multiple times for concerts and fan meetings, building a lasting bond with local fans. Choi Bo Min spent months in the country filming the TV series Beauty Empire, exploring local culture and cuisine, which helped grow his Filipino following.
Supported by GLXY Talent Management, a subsidiary of Universal Records, the two stars will soon lead destination tours, digital campaigns, and promotional events. From beaches and cultural landmarks to wellness getaways, they aim to showcase the Philippines’ beauty and encourage meaningful travel experiences for Korean visitors.
