Filipino actress and box-office superstar Kathryn Bernardo has officially joined the prestigious lineup of global icons at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, becoming the latest Filipino personality to be immortalized by the world-renowned wax attraction.

The highly anticipated unveiling took place on July 9 at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati, where Kathryn appeared alongside her remarkably lifelike wax figure before an audience of fans, media, family, and friends. The event offered supporters an exclusive first look at the actress’ wax likeness before it begins its permanent display in Hong Kong.

Kathryn is now the fifth Filipino to receive the honor, joining fellow wax figures of beauty queens Pia Wurtzbach and Catriona Gray, boxing legend Manny Pacquiao, and actress-host Anne Curtis.

“We recognize true Filipino talent that shines through different industries and categories—from pageants and sports to television and film,” said Wade Chang, General Manager of Gateway Hong Kong under Merlin Entertainments. “We can attest to the fact that Filipino talents and their supporters are truly exceptional, and we continue to strengthen our relationship with Filipino audiences through attractions like Madame Tussauds Hong Kong.”

More than a traditional wax museum, Madame Tussauds Hong Kong offers visitors interactive experiences across themed zones, including the Hong Kong Glamour Zone, Fashion Zone, Music Icon, and K-Wave Zone, where guests can pose with realistic figures of internationally recognized celebrities, artists, athletes, and cultural icons.

Kathryn’s wax figure recreates her appearance during the 2023 Outstanding Asian Star Awards in Seoul, where she represented the Philippines on the international stage. The figure is dressed in the original gown created by renowned Filipino designer Martin Bautista, faithfully replicating the look she wore during the prestigious event.

The intricate likeness was crafted by Madame Tussauds’ team of artists and sculptors, capturing Kathryn’s signature elegance, charm, and natural beauty while commemorating one of the defining milestones of her career.

Widely regarded as one of the country’s biggest stars, Kathryn has built an impressive career spanning more than two decades since beginning as a child actress in 2003. She has headlined some of Philippine cinema’s biggest box-office successes, including The Hows of Us, Hello, Love, Goodbye, and A Very Good Girl, while earning numerous acting accolades, including the Best Actress award at the 72nd FAMAS Awards in 2024.

Beyond her acting achievements, Kathryn remains one of the country’s most influential celebrities, serving as an ambassador for numerous local and international brands.

“My wax figure is a reminder that big dreams are valid, and Filipino talent belongs on the global stage,” Kathryn said during the unveiling. “At the end of the day, I’m just so proud to be here as a Filipina, and I hope it makes everyone feel the same about who we are and what we can do.”

Following its Manila debut, Kathryn’s wax figure will officially welcome visitors at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong beginning July 17, where fans from around the world can pose with the actress’ lifelike replica alongside an impressive collection of international celebrities.

To celebrate the launch, Madame Tussauds Hong Kong is offering a special ticket bundle until August 31, 2026. Guests can enjoy admission, a digital photo, and a guidebook for HK$271 by using the promo code “Kathcakes” when booking through the attraction’s official website.
