Jung Kook of BTS brought Balenciaga’s latest designs to the stage in spectacular fashion, debuting a series of custom looks during the group’s sold-out ARIRANG world tour stop at Paris’ Stade de France.
Drawing a record-breaking crowd of 92,000 fans per day, the Paris shows marked a major moment in the international tour supporting BTS’ fifth studio album. For the occasion, Jung Kook wore exclusive Balenciaga creations specially developed for this leg of the tour, reinterpreting key elements from the House’s Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 collections by Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli.
The custom looks were designed around the three thematic acts of the ARIRANG tour while reflecting Jung Kook’s distinct personal style.
Act One: Leather and Le City Details
For the opening act, Jung Kook appeared in an all-black leather ensemble featuring multi-belted pants, buckled moto gloves, and a high-collared jacket embellished with metal Le City studs.
The detailing references one of Balenciaga’s recognizable design signatures, originally associated with the House’s classic Le City bag, bringing an instantly recognizable accessory code into a dramatic stage look.
Act Two: Sculptural Proportions
The second act embraced oversized silhouettes, reflecting Balenciaga’s longstanding exploration of exaggerated proportions and sculptural volume.
On July 17, Jung Kook wore a Le City-studded denim jacket featuring a patchwork logo, layered over a tie-dye logo T-shirt and oversized baggy jeans.
For the following night, he switched to another black leather ensemble consisting of opera gloves, XXL pants, and a boxy hooded short-sleeve top. The piece featured an embroidered logo alongside the number 10, a reference to Balenciaga’s historic Paris address on Avenue George V.
Across both performances, Jung Kook completed his looks with Balenciaga Venom Boots and Boomerang Cat Sunglasses, alongside jewelry including the BB Icon Necklace and DIY Pin Necklace.
Act Three: Reworked ARIRANG Tour Merchandise
For the final act, Balenciaga transformed official BTS ARIRANG WORLD TOUR merchandise into distressed, washed pieces created exclusively for Jung Kook’s performances.
One France show featured a hoodie, while the following night saw Jung Kook wear a T-shirt incorporating layered Balenciaga logomarks, his name and initials, the album title, European tour cities, and the year 2026.
The graphic treatment combines heavy metal, calligraphic, stencil, and varsity-inspired typography. Techniques including overdying, screen-printing, and appliqué add texture and dimension to the pieces, highlighting Balenciaga’s continued experimentation with materiality and craftsmanship.
Together, the looks demonstrate how the House’s contemporary design language can move seamlessly between the runway and the concert stage, while allowing Jung Kook’s individual style to remain at the center.
