Rising band It All Started In May just released their latest single, “Naaalala,” a reflective track about looking back on past love. With lines like “Bakit ganyan? Biglang nawala, dahil sumama ka na sa iba,” the song perfectly captures the bittersweet nostalgia of old romance.

Composed of Red (guitar, lead vocals), Pau (guitar, vocals), Jai (keyboard), Mikee (drums), and JP (bass, vocals), the band signed with Universal Records in February 2025 and has been busy with releases, guestings, and live gigs. “Naaalala” continues their exploration of memory and reflection, tying into the band’s popular online #naaalala posts. Bassist JP shared, “Naaalala ko pa yung mga araw na mas madalas kwarto ko lang nakakarinig ng mga tinutugtog ko,” while drummer Mikee reflected, “Minsan naaalala ko ‘yung mga sinabi kong ‘last na ito’ pero ayun, may part two, three, at four.”

This latest single follows “O’ Kay Tamis,” “Pasado,” and a cover of Hotdog’s “Manila,” rounding out a productive year for the band and leaving fans with that “malayo pa pero malayo na” feeling.

Last November 22, It All Started In May also became official ambassadors for LYRIC, the country’s largest musical instrument retail chain, and launched the “Naaalala” music video at Kowloon House Dining Hall in Quezon City. The venue came alive with electrifying sets from SunKissed Lola, Earl Generao, SHANNi, brei, and the band themselves, delivering an unforgettable performance.

With their growing catalog and rising momentum, It All Started In May is clearly just getting started. Fans can look forward to new music and milestones in 2026 and beyond.
