Spanish production and distribution company Bosco Films is bringing its acclaimed documentary JUST JAVIER to Philippine audiences, with the film set for an exclusive theatrical release in select Ayala Malls Cinemas nationwide beginning August 12, 2026.
Following its successful premiere in Spain on September 12, 2025, JUST JAVIER emerged as one of the country’s biggest documentary success stories, attracting more than 23,000 moviegoers during its theatrical run and remaining in cinemas for over a month. After expanding to nearly 10 Spanish-speaking countries, the inspiring film now makes its Philippine debut.
Directed by Josepmaria Anglès and produced by Adauge, JUST JAVIER chronicles the extraordinary true story of Javier Sartorius Milans del Bosch, a young man born into one of Spain’s aristocratic families who chose to leave behind a life of privilege, athletic success, and promising career opportunities in pursuit of faith, service, and a deeper sense of purpose.
A talented athlete, Javier excelled in paddle tennis while studying Business Administration in the United States and appeared destined for a successful future in both sports and business. Despite these achievements, he found himself searching for something more meaningful.
A life-changing encounter with the homeless community in Los Angeles became the turning point in his journey, leading him to explore meditation and self-reflection before ultimately embracing missionary work in Cusco, Peru. There, he discovered a life centered on prayer, simplicity, service, and complete trust in God.
More than a traditional biography, JUST JAVIER explores universal themes of purpose, fulfillment, sacrifice, and the courage to follow one’s calling. Through Javier’s remarkable transformation, the documentary invites audiences to reflect on what truly defines a meaningful and authentic life.
Beginning August 12, 2026, JUST JAVIER will be shown exclusively at participating Ayala Malls Cinemas in Greenbelt, Glorietta, Circuit, Feliz, Trinoma, UP Town Center, Manila Bay, Bonifacio High Street, Central Bloc Cebu, Centrio Cagayan de Oro, and Capitol Central Bacolod.
Moviegoers are invited to experience the inspiring true story on the big screen and discover the journey of a young man whose search for purpose continues to resonate with audiences around the world.
