Global AI device ecosystem company HONOR has officially launched the HONOR Robot Phone, a category-defining smartphone that combines a motorized mechanical gimbal, advanced AI capabilities, and professional-inspired imaging technology in a compact flagship device.

At the heart of the Robot Phone is its HONOR Titanium Agile Gimbal, a 4DoF mechanical system built from more than 100 precision components through 60 manufacturing processes. HONOR says the system is supported by more than 100 patents, while reducing its overall size by 65% and increasing structural strength by 200% compared with mainstream gimbals.

The 2.6-gram Titanium Gimbal Motor can reach control speeds of up to 360 degrees per second, while the HONOR Super Steel Flip Motor delivers a torque density of 120 N·m/L. These technologies allow the camera to move and reposition quickly while maintaining stability within the phone’s pocketable form factor.

Bringing Cinema Technology to a Smartphone

The HONOR Robot Phone also marks the first product milestone from HONOR’s Cinematic Imaging Partnership with professional cinema camera maker ARRI.

Its imaging system features a Dual 200MP Camera setup, led by a 200MP Agile Gimbal Main Camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor and f/1.6 aperture. It is paired with a 200MP Periscope Telephoto Camera featuring a 1/1.4-inch sensor and 2.7x optical zoom, while a 50MP ultra-wide camera with a 122-degree field of view completes the setup.

Through the HONOR-ARRI partnership, the device incorporates selected elements of ARRI’s image science and professional workflow, including ARRI LogC3, ARRI Wide Gamut 3 and ARRI Looks.

The main camera supports 10-bit ARRI LogC3 recording in ARRI CINEMA mode. HONOR says its AI noise-reduction technology can improve video signal-to-noise ratio by 8 dB, while AI dynamic-range optimization supports up to 14 stops of dynamic range.

The phone’s video pipeline processes footage in 14-bit 4:4:4 before outputting 10-bit LogC3 and 4:2:2 video, preserving more image information for post-production. Creators can also preview ARRI Looks in real time and take footage into professional editing software such as DaVinci Resolve.

An AI-Powered Camera Crew in Your Pocket

Beyond imaging, the Robot Phone is designed to make content creation more hands-free through embodied AI and robotic movement.

Its camera arm supports cinematic movement modes such as Tilt Lock, First Person View (FPV), FPV Vertical and AI SpinShot, allowing users to capture stabilized and dynamic footage without relying on traditional camera equipment.

Powered by MagicOS, the device introduces YOYO Robot Mode, which combines multimodal perception, contextual understanding, gesture recognition and physical movement. Features such as Voice Source Localization and AI Live-Tracking allow the camera to automatically pan and tilt to keep users in frame during vlogs, livestreams and video calls.

Hands-free gesture controls can also activate the camera arm and capture footage without requiring users to touch the phone. Meanwhile, YOYO Auto Execution allows the system-level AI agent to interpret user intent and perform multi-step tasks across supported applications and system settings.

HONOR’s open Agent Skills interface further allows third-party developers to create experiences that make use of the phone’s gimbal, perception and embodied-interaction capabilities.

Flagship Performance in a Compact Design

The HONOR Robot Phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform, supporting demanding AI, imaging and multitasking workloads. An advanced cooling system is designed to manage heat during extended recording sessions.

The device also carries a 7,060mAh Next Gen HONOR Silicon-carbon Battery, with support for 120W wired and 50W wireless HONOR SuperCharge.

Its Android-first all-metal integrated-molding unibody houses a 6.31-inch LTPO OLED HONOR AI Eye Comfort Display protected by HONOR NanoCrystal Shield. The display supports an adaptive 1–120Hz refresh rate and reaches a peak brightness of up to 6,800 nits. It also features 4320Hz PWM dimming and other eye-comfort technologies.

From Global Showcases to Commercial Rollout

The HONOR Robot Phone’s launch follows its first major showcase at Mobile World Congress 2026, where the device was introduced in March. It later demonstrated its stabilized tracking capabilities at the Cannes Film Festival’s China Night and the 28th Shanghai International Film Festival.

With its combination of robotic camera movement, professional-inspired imaging, AI-powered interaction and flagship hardware, HONOR positions the Robot Phone as a new approach to mobile content creation—one designed to bring more advanced filmmaking capabilities directly into the hands of everyday users.
