HIGH MINDS (also known as HGHMNDS) celebrated its 14th anniversary with an electrifying concert of amazing artists at the Metro Tent in Pasig last September 14, leaving fans exhilarated and clamoring for more.

Founded by Omar Baliw, an artist himself who burst into the hip hop scene back in 2008 and named his first album, “HIGH MINDS MUSIC”. What soon followed was the success of his street-style clothing line, HIGH MINDS CLOTHING, which continues to boast unique designs with the signature palette of black, gray, and white. Fans swamped the designated area at the event where they were given access to exclusive anniversary deals as well as treated to a futuristic set displaying the latest designs.

The event was a true testimony to the loyal, supportive, and ever-growing community of artists and lovers of the gritty, raw and powerful hip hop scene. The venue was packed and fans sang their hearts out along their favorite artists. And what an amazing line-up they had: MC Blain, Tunecore, Paradox BCD, Ramdiss, Hero, Tommie King, Just Hush, Guddhist, Paul N’ Ballin, Ives Presko, CLR, Waiian, Gat Putch, Sica, Supafly, HELLMERRY, Omar Baliw, Loonie, Skusta Clee, and Flow G.

But even as the music swept the audience to a celebratory frenzy, a touching moment enveloped the venue when the audience sang, “Happy Birthday” to Omar Baliw. With his family by his side, it was quite moving, the moment being shared with everyone. It is a moment understood and appreciated by all those present -symbiotic in a sense. More than a clothing line, HIGH MINDS has become a community that continue to grow, year after year, celebrating art, music, and each other.
