MANILA, PHILIPPINES, January 14, 2026 – Grab Philippines officially welcomed its fourth batch of GrabScholars, awarding full four-year college scholarships to six students pursuing STEM, business, and sustainability degrees. The scholarship package includes full tuition coverage at institutions such as Mapúa University and Cebu Institute of Technology University, along with a monthly stipend, a brand-new laptop, and other essential school supplies. With the addition of this new cohort, the GrabScholar program now supports a total of 23 full college scholars.

The newest scholars are Harvey Blaize Ramirez, Reign Quiñones, Lloeby Xyra Semana, Dainty Jurzhail Balde, Wrench Maxenne Singcol, and Chrislyn Bacalso. Grab Philippines Managing Director Ronald Roda emphasized that investing in students is also an investment in the country’s future tech workforce. He noted that as technology and AI continue to advance rapidly, programs like GrabScholar help prepare young Filipinos to become future builders and leaders in the STEM space, empowering them to shape tomorrow’s tech landscape.

Part of GrabForGood, Grab’s social impact initiative, the program reflects the company’s commitment to promoting socioeconomic mobility across Southeast Asia. Many of the scholars are children of Grab and MOVE IT partners, linking the daily efforts of gig workers to long-term educational opportunities for their families. The awarding ceremony was held at Grab’s Philippine headquarters and personally welcomed by Grab Philippines leaders, including Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Booey Bonifacio and MOVE IT General Manager Wayne Jacinto.

Beyond college scholarships, GrabScholar also extends one-time bursaries to more than 300 underprivileged elementary and high school students. These grants, amounting to up to PHP 2,500 per learner, help cover school-related expenses such as books, uniforms, and supplies, further supporting students and families during the school year.
