Globe Coop extended its compassion-driven mission to the DSWD Reception and Study Center for Children (RSCC) in Lubao, Pampanga through Hearts in Hands, an employee-led initiative that supports orphaned children with both practical essentials and heartfelt care. The activity forms part of the Globe Coop CAREavan, a nationwide outreach program empowering employees and regional teams to deliver localized, sustainable support to vulnerable communities across the country.

Employee volunteers from North Luzon took an active role in preparing over 100 personalized gift bundles, each thoughtfully assembled to meet the children’s everyday needs while offering comfort and encouragement. The packages included age-appropriate toys, school and art supplies, clothing essentials, hygiene kits, uplifting books, and soft items such as toys or blankets to provide warmth and security. Each bundle was paired with a handwritten letter, offering the children a personal message of care and reassurance.

Beyond providing material support, this year’s Hearts in Hands activation emphasized emotional well-being and human connection. Globe Coop volunteers worked closely with RSCC staff to personally deliver the gifts and spend time with the children through play, shared activities, and simple conversations—creating moments that helped the children feel valued and supported.

“For many of these children, small gestures can have a big emotional impact,” said Racquel Marcelo, Business Head of Globe Coop. “Through Hearts in Hands, we want each child to feel the warmth of a community that believes in them.”

Through initiatives like Hearts in Hands, Globe Coop continues to strengthen communities by empowering employees to uplift children in need—helping build a future where every child feels seen, cared for, and supported.
