Globe joined the Peñafrancia Festival 2026 in Naga City, bringing connectivity, music, and youth-centered experiences to one of Bicol’s biggest celebrations of faith and culture.
From September 15 to 18, Globe provided WiFi broadband access at key event areas while creating spaces for young Bicolano artists and musicians to showcase their talents. The activities also formed part of the company’s 917 GDay celebration this September, giving residents and visitors more ways to stay connected and share their festival experiences.
“The Peñafrancia Festival is at the heart of Bicolano faith and culture. Globe is honored to be part of this important tradition by helping families, devotees, and visitors stay connected,” said KD Dizon, Globe Chief Marketing Officer. “Beyond connectivity, we also want to give young Bicolanos a bigger stage to share their creativity and talent.”
Celebrating Young Bicolano Talent
Globe’s activities began on September 15 with 5G Building Craft, where student artists participated in a mural design competition. Through 5G EnergyJam, student bands nominated by local schools also had the opportunity to perform and compete for a spot at G Music Fest.
From September 16 to 18, the Balatas Development Complex hosted Globe’s Mini Globe Full Experience Platform. Festivalgoers could visit the Swag Station for customized Peñafrancia giveaways and merchandise, while the 5G Moments Portrait Studio offered families and friends a space to capture their festival memories.
The celebration continued with G Music Fest at Tagboan Market on September 17. Pinoy singer-songwriter Kyle Raphael headlined the event alongside Bicolana artist dwta and student performers from 5G EnergyJam.
Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo also welcomed Globe’s participation, highlighting the role of connectivity in helping devotees, visitors, and families stay connected during the celebration.
Globe’s participation in Peñafrancia reflects its continued efforts to support local communities through connectivity and experiences that bring people together. In Naga, that meant helping Bicolanos stay connected during a major cultural celebration while creating opportunities for young local talents to take center stage.
