GCash, the country’s leading cashless ecosystem, can now be fully linked with Google Pay, offering Filipinos a faster, more secure way to pay online and in-store. The integration is currently available to select users and will roll out to more customers soon, enabling millions to connect their GCash wallets to Google Pay for seamless transactions.
Linking accounts is simple: users download the Google Wallet App, open GCash, tap their Profile, navigate to My Linked Accounts, and select Google Pay. After agreeing to bind and completing biometric verification, users are redirected to the Google Pay app to sign in and activate their GCash wallet as a payment source.
By combining GCash’s local scale and trust with Google Pay’s global infrastructure, the integration allows payments without manually entering card details, while keeping sensitive information secure. Users can now pay with confidence anywhere Google Pay is accepted, both online and in physical stores.
“This integration empowers our users to move through digital and physical spaces with greater ease, security, and reach,” said Ren-Ren Reyes, President and CEO of G-Xchange, Inc., the operator of GCash. Prep Palacios, Country Manager of Google Philippines, added, “We’re proud to bring faster, convenient, and more secure payments to the Philippines, supporting financial inclusion and the growth of the digital economy.”
With features like GCash Tap to Pay and the new Google Pay integration, GCash continues to lead the way in accessible, secure, and widely accepted digital payments.
