As graduation season approaches, FWD Life Insurance Philippines and JA Philippines are helping young Filipinos prepare for life beyond college through JA Forward Your Success 2025, a two-day program designed to strengthen financial literacy, career readiness, and insurance awareness.
The initiative gathered 100 graduating university students, offering practical tools and hands-on learning to help them navigate early adulthood with confidence and clarity. Industry experts, including leaders from FWD Life Insurance, led discussions and workshops focused on building long-term financial stability and real-world preparedness.
“Financial literacy is one of the most empowering life skills young people can have,” said Gavin Lai, FWD Chief Marketing and Digital Commerce Officer. “It gives you the tools to take control of your life, turn challenges into opportunities, and move forward with confidence.”
JA Philippines Executive Director Krishna Alejandrino emphasized the importance of early empowerment, noting that when students are equipped with real-world skills and practical financial knowledge, they don’t just seek opportunities—they create them.
The program unfolded across two focused learning days. The first centered on self-discovery and goal setting, guiding students to identify their strengths, define realistic goals, and craft personal action plans for post-graduation life. The second day shifted to financial growth, teaching participants how to build sustainable income streams, protect their earnings through financial tools such as insurance, and futureproof their finances against uncertainty. This strong emphasis on insurance literacy helped students understand its role in safeguarding financial goals during unexpected challenges.

JA Forward Your Success 2025 builds on FWD’s partnership with JA Philippines, which began in 2021 with JA Spark the Dream and later expanded to programs supporting out-of-school youth. Now extending to graduating students, the initiative reflects a shared commitment to empowering young Filipinos—financially, professionally, and personally.
By bridging education with real-world readiness, FWD continues to support the next generation in building confident, future-ready lives.
