A Celebration of Italian Craftsmanship
Known for its refined ambiance and extensive collection of over 650 wine labels, Finestra has become a go-to destination for intimate dining and special occasions. This upcoming event further reinforces its reputation for hosting thoughtfully curated wine experiences.
The featured partner, Querciabella—meaning “beautiful oak”—is celebrated for its elegant Chianti Classico and Super Tuscan wines, crafted primarily from Sangiovese grapes. The estate is also recognized as a pioneer in organic and biodynamic winemaking, producing vegan-certified wines with a strong commitment to sustainability.
A Michelin-Level Culinary Experience
Leading the evening’s culinary direction is Chef Andrea Spagoni, whose Michelin-starred background spans Italy, London, New York, and Hong Kong. His menu is designed to complement each wine selection, creating a cohesive and immersive dining experience.
The multi-course dinner begins with a Hokkaido scallop carpaccio, paired with Mongrana Bianco 2023, offering a fresh and delicate opening. This is followed by a rich lobster risotto with almond milk and bottarga, matched with Batàr 2021, a highly regarded “white Super Tuscan” known for its creamy texture and complexity.
The pecorino cheese tortelli with chickpeas and rosemary is served alongside Chianti Classico Riserva 2020, balancing the dish’s richness with vibrant acidity.
For the main courses, guests will enjoy:
- Roasted toothfish with mushroom ragout and duck liver sauce, paired with Turpino 2019
- Butter-roasted US beef tenderloin with braised onion and black truffle, complemented by Camartina Super Tuscan 2019
The evening concludes with a dark chocolate dessert infused with coffee and sambuca, paired with Palafreno Super Tuscan 2021, a Merlot-based wine that delivers a smooth and indulgent finish.
An Intimate, One-Night-Only Experience
The wine selection is curated by Daniel Blais, Director of Beverage for Solaire’s properties, ensuring each pairing enhances both the dish and the wine.
