MANILA, Philippines, January 21, 2026 — Federal Express Corporation (FedEx), a global leader in express transportation, has appointed Salil Chari as president of its Asia Pacific (APAC) region, effective January 1, 2026. Chari succeeds Kawal Preet, who transitions to executive vice president (EVP) of Planning, Engineering, and Transformation.
Previously FedEx’s senior vice president of Marketing and Customer Experience for APAC, Chari will oversee the strategic direction of the business and lead nearly 30,000 employees across the region to drive growth, enhance customer experiences, and advance operational excellence.

Chari, who joined FedEx in 1997 as a marketing analyst in Memphis, U.S., has held leadership roles across Latin America, the Caribbean, APAC, the Middle East, the Indian Subcontinent, and Africa. He is recognized for advancing customer experience and supporting businesses in expanding global reach.
