In the wake of the 6.9-magnitude earthquake that struck San Remigio and nearby areas, FedEx provided much-needed relief to support 200 families displaced by the disaster. The quake, one of the strongest recorded in Cebu, affected over 200,000 households and caused damages estimated at nearly PHP13 billion (USD 257 million) to property and infrastructure.
Partnering with local non-profit organizations, including the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation (PDRF) and Junior Chamber International Zugbuana, FedEx delivered essential supplies such as bottled water, food, sleeping mats, mosquito nets, and blankets. These efforts aimed to help families recover and meet urgent needs in the aftermath of the calamity.
“FedEx has always been committed to supporting communities during times of crisis,” said a company spokesperson. “By leveraging our global network and resources, we can provide timely relief where it’s needed most.”
