Eraserheads: Combo On The Run, the acclaimed music documentary chronicling the legacy of one of the Philippines’ most influential bands, has added another international recognition to its growing list of accolades. Director Maria Diane Ventura received the Best International Director Award at the Long Island Music & Entertainment Hall of Fame (LIMEHOF) Music Documentary Film Festival in New York.

The recognition followed the film’s screening at the annual festival on September 27, 2026, which was followed by a special post-screening conversation featuring Ventura and Eraserheads frontman Ely Buendia.

For Ventura, the recognition is particularly meaningful because the documentary offers international audiences a glimpse into an important chapter of Philippine pop culture and music history.

“Every recognition Combo on the Run receives still feels a little surreal to me. We made a film that is deeply rooted in our culture, our music and our collective experience as Filipinos, so to watch it continue to travel and connect with audiences outside of home is incredibly meaningful,” Ventura said.

Bringing Filipino Stories To A Global Audience

The latest accolade adds to the documentary’s growing list of international distinctions following its theatrical run in the Philippines and subsequent screenings overseas. Through its story of the Eraserheads and the cultural impact of their music, Combo On The Run continues to introduce Filipino music and storytelling to audiences beyond the country.

Ventura said the film’s journey internationally has also reinforced her belief in the strength of Filipino creative talent.

“More than the award itself, I’m grateful that the film continues to create space for our stories and our artists on an international stage,” she added. “I’ve always believed in the power and brilliance of Filipino talent.”

Produced by DVent Productions, Eraserheads: Combo On The Run forms part of the production company’s efforts to bring Filipino music, film, and entertainment to wider international audiences.

DVent Productions has also expanded into large-scale live entertainment, including the co-production of the Ely Buendia and Chito Miranda concert in Dubai with Live Nation and Tiana. Held at Coca-Cola Arena on August 30, 2026, the concert drew a sold-out crowd, further highlighting the growing international reach of Filipino artists and productions.
