Emirates is heading into the winter travel season with strong booking momentum, continued fleet upgrades, and an expanding global network as demand builds across key international markets.

Between July and August, the airline carried more than 8.6 million passengers, maintaining healthy seat load factors across its network. Emirates is currently operating at around 93% of its pre-disruption capacity, with bookings for the winter season, beginning in late October, tracking positively.

Demand is currently ahead of last year in markets including South Africa, Brazil, India, Portugal, Egypt, Ghana, Colombia, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan, as well as Nepal through its partnership with flydubai. The UAE also continues to see strong outbound demand, while premium travel remains a growing segment.

Strong Summer Demand And More Flexible Travel

During the summer, Emirates recorded seat load factors above 75% across services to and from West Asia, Europe, the Middle East, the Americas, and Africa, with particularly strong performance on routes connected to Indonesia, Côte d’Ivoire, and the UK.

Premium Economy demand also continued to grow, with the Americas recording the strongest increase. Dubai remained a popular destination, welcoming more than 500,000 Emirates passengers in late August alone, a 7% increase compared with the same period last year.

The airline also expanded its flexibility offerings during summer, including one free date change across its network and unlimited free date changes for Dubai journeys. Emirates additionally introduced Comprehensive Travel Cover, which includes medical protection related to conflict and airspace disruption, along with airline-managed accommodation, ground support, and rebooking when needed.

Fleet And Cabin Upgrades Continue

Emirates has welcomed 18 aircraft since January 2026, including 11 new A350s and seven Boeing 777 freighters, with six more A350s scheduled to arrive before the end of December.

Meanwhile, 104 aircraft have completed the airline’s retrofit program, bringing the total number of aircraft featuring Premium Economy and Emirates’ latest cabin products to 137. This is expected to reach 155 aircraft by the end of the year.

Premium Economy is now available on services to 90 destinations, with six more destinations—including Paris, Delhi, and Stockholm—scheduled to receive the product before year-end. Nearly 50 Emirates aircraft are also now equipped with Starlink, expanding access to high-speed inflight connectivity.

More Destinations And Frequencies

Emirates will continue expanding its network this winter, with Helsinki joining the network on October 1 with A350 service. Additional frequencies are also planned for Accra, Tokyo Narita, Ho Chi Minh City, and Hanoi, while one daily Delhi service will be upgraded to an A380.

The A350 will also be deployed to Larnaca, Malta, Nairobi, and Hamburg from late October, followed by Mauritius in November. Retrofitted Boeing 777 aircraft will serve Stockholm in October and Frankfurt in November.

Through its 168 codeshare, interline, and intermodal partnerships, Emirates customers can access an additional 1,750 cities. Its partnership with flydubai provides access to more than 214 unique destinations across over 100 countries, with more than 4,600 connection opportunities through Dubai.

Since the partnership began in 2017, Emirates and flydubai have carried more than 28 million passengers across their integrated network, reinforcing Dubai’s role as a major connecting hub for travelers heading into the winter season.
