London’s summer dining scene gets a playful new addition with the launch of CUT OUT, a fish and chips-inspired pop-up terrace concept at CUT at 45 Park Lane, Wolfgang Puck’s only restaurant in London.
Launched on May 27, the seasonal dining destination is the latest creation of Culinary Director Elliott Grover, who reimagines the traditional British fish and chip shop through a refined al fresco experience overlooking Hyde Park.
Located on the terrace of 45 Park Lane, CUT OUT combines the nostalgic appeal of the classic British “chippy” with the sophistication and vibrant atmosphere associated with the luxury hotel. Guests can dine on the terrace or enjoy a specially designed takeaway menu ideal for picnics in Hyde Park.
Classic Comfort Food with a Gourmet Twist
At the heart of the menu are elevated interpretations of beloved British favorites. Signature offerings include:
- Fried haddock served with mushy peas, triple-cooked chips in beef dripping, homemade curry sauce, and tartar sauce
- Tempura-fried monkfish with chili pepper, pickles, and wasabi mayonnaise
- Scottish langoustines paired with wild garlic mayonnaise
The menu also features playful takes on familiar comfort food, including a fish finger sandwich, battered chicken sausage with curry sauce, and a halloumi burger topped with sweet chili jam and rocket.
Fresh Seafood and Summer Flavors
For diners seeking lighter options, CUT OUT offers a selection of premium seafood dishes such as:
- Seared Orkney scallops in the shell with garlic and chili butter
- Achill Rock oysters with honey truffle ponzu
- Wolfgang Puck’s signature crab and lobster roll
Desserts embrace the growing “hi-lo” dining trend, blending luxury with nostalgia. Highlights include strawberry and champagne ice lollies, Eton mess with British strawberries and Jersey cream, and vanilla ice cream cookie sandwiches.
The menu is complemented by refreshing cocktails, including the Our Way Martini, crafted with Belvedere 10 vodka and Cocchi Extra Dry Vermouth and served ice cold, alongside a curated selection of beers, wines, and champagne.
Designed for Hyde Park Picnics
Adding to its summer appeal, CUT OUT also offers a bespoke takeaway experience created specifically for guests looking to enjoy their meals across the road in Hyde Park.
“With CUT OUT, we wanted to take something instantly recognisable and nostalgic and reinterpret it in a way that still feels true to 45 Park Lane,” said Elliott Grover. “It’s relaxed, fun and rooted in classic flavours, but with the quality, technique and ingredients you’d expect from CUT.”
Open Wednesday through Sunday for lunch and dinner until September 6, CUT OUT brings a fresh seasonal energy to 45 Park Lane, transforming its terrace into one of London’s most exciting al fresco dining destinations this summer.
