METRO MANILA, Philippines, March 10, 2026 — TP in the Philippines (formerly Teleperformance), a leading player in digital business services, has increased its nationwide renewable energy consumption to 63% in 2025, up 3% from the previous year, signaling a decisive acceleration in its clean energy transition and reaffirming its position as a sustainability leader in the country’s IT-BPM sector.
According to the 2025 TP Impact Report, the company’s renewable energy usage has grown steadily across its 26 sites nationwide, contributing to measurable reductions in its carbon footprint.
“Our transition to renewable energy is no small feat, but it reflects our commitment to acting as a responsible and sustainable organization,” said Rahul Jolly, Chief Executive Officer of TP in the Philippines. “This increase demonstrates how our commitment to sustainability translates into tangible results. As one of the largest employers in the country, we recognize that our actions set industry benchmarks.”
Significant Carbon Reductions
Alongside higher renewable energy adoption, TP reported a 52% reduction in total CO₂ emissions, with emissions intensity now at 0.25 tCO₂e per full-time employee (FTE)—a 77% improvement from its 2019 baseline.
Many of TP’s facilities operate in LEED- and EDGE-certified buildings, including sites in McKinley, Aura, Vertis North, and Alabang Plaza E and Vector 3. These certifications support energy-efficient cooling, optimized building design, and responsible water usage.
Sustainability Strategy & Global Alignment
TP’s climate roadmap aligns with the Science Based Targets initiative and the Paris Agreement, aiming for 50% renewable energy globally by 2026 and 80% by 2030. The company targets a 56.7% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions and a 27.5% reduction in Scope 3 emissions by 2030, using 2019 as the base year.
TP is also among the first 100 companies to sign the Climate Pledge, committing to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2040, ten years ahead of the Paris Agreement target.
People, Culture, and Community
Sustainability at TP extends beyond infrastructure. “Every percentage increase in renewable energy reflects thousands of daily decisions by our teams,” said Ed Punzalan, Vice President of Facilities and Administration. “Through initiatives like the Citizen of the World (COTW) foundation and Citizen of the Planet (COTP) program, we cultivate a culture of environmental responsibility, empowering employees to act as stewards of the planet.”
The company also collaborates with partners such as Aboitiz Power under the Green Energy Option Program (GEOP) for its Sucat and Bacolod sites, while participating in global initiatives like Earth Hour to further its sustainability mission.
Leading by Example in the IT-BPM Sector
TP in the Philippines demonstrates that decarbonization and business resilience can advance together, setting a benchmark for large-scale employers striving to reduce environmental impact while maintaining operational excellence.
