City of Dreams Manila welcomes the Year of the Fire Horse with a spectacular celebration of traditions, performances, and culinary delights designed to usher in good fortune and joy for the Lunar New Year.

A Grand Lunar New Year Display and Festivities

The integrated resort showcases a 17-foot golden galloping stallion amid cherry blossoms at the main casino entrance, symbolizing strength and rapid success in alignment with the Fire Horse zodiac. The installation is crafted from sustainably sourced, non-toxic materials and illuminated with LED lights, reflecting City of Dreams Manila’s commitment to sustainability and artistry.

As part of the festivities, Melco Club members can participate in the Draw and Drive promo, with a Mercedes-Benz EQB 250+ as the grand prize, alongside other exciting rewards. Two separate raffle draws will be held on February 28 and March 28 at Centerplay.

On February 17 at 5 pm, the resort will host an auspicious eye-dotting ceremony featuring eight lions and a 70-foot dragon from Ling Nam Athletic Association. This vibrant performance, complemented by acrobatics and drumming, is a traditional ritual to drive away evil spirits and invite prosperity. The celebrations continue to DreamPlay at 6 pm with a parade of beloved DreamWorks characters at The Shoppes at the Boulevard.

Culinary Offerings for Prosperity

City of Dreams Manila’s signature restaurants present festive Lunar New Year menus celebrating abundance, joy, and togetherness:

Crystal Dragon

Available from February 16 to March 3, the restaurant’s seven-specialty a la carte menu highlights the Prosperity Two-head Abalone Yee Sang with Arctic surf clam, symbolizing abundance and good fortune. Each ingredient carries auspicious meaning, such as:

  • Abalone and Arctic clam – abundance and surplus

  • Julienned white radish – good opportunities

  • Pickled papaya – best returns

  • Carrots and pomelo – good luck

  • Dried orange – wealth

  • Chopped peanuts and deep-fried flour crisps – gold and silver
The ritual of tossing the Yee Sang with chopsticks is believed to enhance prosperity: the higher the toss, the greater the fortune for the coming year.

Other indulgent offerings include:

  • Slow-braised Good Fortune “Pen Cai”

  • Duo Flavor Steamed Grouper with Scallop Lucky Bag

  • Steamed Lotus Leaf Rice with Chinese Sausage, Roasted Unagi, and Spicy Edamame Sticky Rice Ball

  • Braised Sea Treasure & Dry Scallop Thick Broth with “Fatt Choi”
A dessert platter combines Steamed Red Bean Tangerine Bun, Chilled Coconut Custard Mahjong Pudding, Warm Ginger Tea with Glutinous Rice Ball, and Red Fire Cracker & Chili Kataifi Coconut Flakes.
