Bitget, the world’s largest Universal Exchange (UEX), has expanded its Blockchain4Youth initiative in the Philippines by delivering high-speed satellite internet to six schools across Surigao del Norte, Siquijor, and Negros Oriental through a major Starlink rollout. The initiative has provided reliable connectivity to over 7,300 students and more than 100 teachers, marking one of the most impactful digital inclusion efforts in remote island communities to date.

The program now supports Espoir School of Life and Lasala Integrated School in Surigao del Norte; Apo Elementary School and the Arts & Design Collective Dumaguete in Negros Oriental; and Siquijor State College alongside Siquijor Provincial Science High School in Siquijor. For many of these institutions, this marks their first experience with dependable, high-speed internet—transforming classroom instruction and lesson preparation that once relied entirely on printed materials due to limited or nonexistent connectivity.

“This project is not just about connectivity—it’s about opportunity,” said Bitget CEO Gracy Chen. “By bringing Starlink to these islands, we are giving thousands of young people their first real access to the digital world and the tools they need to participate in tomorrow’s economy.”

Beyond installation, Bitget conducted educator consultations, digital readiness assessments, and early testing of Blockchain4Youth learning modules to ensure schools can maximize their new access. Teachers now benefit from online training and updated resources, while students can engage with interactive digital learning tools previously out of reach.

The rollout forms part of Bitget’s broader PayFi Islands initiative, which aims to extend digital infrastructure and education to underserved regions nationwide. By combining connectivity with long-term educational support, Bitget continues to help bridge the digital divide and open pathways toward meaningful participation in the global digital economy.
