Filipino girl group BINI is set to bring its signature P-pop sound to Japan this weekend as the eight-member act performs at the 2026 Summer Sonic music festival, one of Asia’s major annual music events.

Composed of Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna, and Sheena, BINI will take the Mountain Stage at Expo ’70 Commemorative Park in Osaka on August 14, performing from 2:40 to 3:20 p.m. JST.

The group will then head to Tokyo for another performance on August 16, from 3:30 to 4:10 p.m. JST, at ZOZO Marine Stadium and Makuhari Messe. The Tokyo performance will also be livestreamed exclusively in Japan through WOWOW on Demand.

Held annually across two major Japanese regions over one weekend in August, Summer Sonic brings together prominent international and Japanese artists. This year’s lineup also includes Filipino-Japanese singer Ena Mori and fellow Filipino act SB19, giving Philippine artists another opportunity to showcase their music to a broader international audience.

BINI Continues Global Momentum

BINI’s Summer Sonic appearances come amid a busy year for the group, which recently earned four nominations at the 39th Awit Awards.

The group is nominated for Best Performance by a Group and Best Pop Recording for “Shagidi,” Best R&B Recording for “Katabi,” and Best Global Collaboration for “Blink Twice,” featuring Indonesian singer Agnez Mo.

The group has also been taking its music across North America through the BINI Signals World Tour, with recent performances in Hawaii, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Rohnert Park, and San Diego.

Following their Summer Sonic appearances in Japan, BINI is scheduled to continue the North American leg of the tour, with upcoming shows in Vancouver on August 18, Calgary on August 21, Edmonton on August 22, Winnipeg on August 24, Toronto on August 27, and Brooklyn, New York, on August 28.
