Bangkok’s luxury culinary scene reached another milestone as the Bangkok SHUCK OFF 2026 (2nd Edition) concluded in spectacular fashion as part of the prestigious The Oyster World Cup Gastronomy 2026 at Chatrium Grand Bangkok.
Now considered one of Thailand’s premier gastronomy and lifestyle events, the festival once again showcased world-class culinary talent while reinforcing Bangkok’s reputation as one of Asia’s leading dining destinations.
Building on the success of its inaugural edition, this year’s event welcomed Michelin-starred chefs, internationally acclaimed oyster shucking champions, award-winning mixologists, and culinary experts from more than eight countries. Throughout the eight-week festival running from June to July 2026, guests embarked on eight curated international gastronomic experiences featuring premium seafood, fine dining, and luxury hospitality.
The centerpiece of the festival’s closing celebration was the Bangkok SHUCK OFF 2026 competition, where Teeraphat Jaiporn emerged as this year’s champion. His victory earned him the honor of representing Thailand at the upcoming international oyster shucking competition in China.
As part of the Oyster World Cup Gastronomy Series 2026, guests witnessed an intense live oyster shucking contest while sampling premium oysters sourced from around the world. The event was complemented by an exclusive buffet at Savio Restaurant, offering a refined culinary experience in an elegant setting.
The celebration continues in July with the Thailand Grand Écailler Challenge (2nd Edition), organized in partnership with leading culinary institutions from France. The program will also feature exclusive masterclasses conducted by internationally recognized experts, further strengthening the festival’s role as a premier platform for global culinary competition and education.
Another major highlight is set for July 4, when the Championnat d’Écailler de Thaïlande 2026 (Thailand Oyster Shucking Championship 2026) takes place in collaboration with France Écaille, Disciples Escoffier Thailand, and EDELWEISS. The competition will determine Thailand’s representative for an exclusive culinary experience in France.
