Ascott Makati officially ushers in a new season of refined experiences with the latest edition of the Ascott Soirée. Part of Ascott’s global brand campaign, the initiative brings to life the tagline “Savor the Art of Fine Living” through a curated series of events that celebrate art, food, and culture.
Beginning this April, the luxury serviced apartment turns its focus to the world of tea, introducing an elegant afternoon tea collaboration, wellness workshops, and immersive artistic experiences designed to transform simple rituals into moments of indulgence.
The Ascott Afternoon Tea: A Gourmet Collaboration
The centerpiece of the campaign is a collaboration between Ascott Makati and Mesclun Restaurant + Café. Created by Chef Katrina Kuhn-Alcantara, the Ascott Afternoon Tea features a sophisticated menu of delicacies, including Mushroom and Spinach Empanaditas, Grilled Vegetable Sourdough, Cucumber Tea Sandwiches, and signature sweets like Carrot Cake and artisanal bonbons.
To elevate the experience, Ascott partnered with Rene McHugh-Rodrigo, herbalist and owner of Apothecary, to develop two custom-blended tea pairings:

Glow Citrus & Mint Blend: A bright infusion of lemon, globe amaranth, and peppermint designed for relaxation and digestion.

Warm Cinnamon & Spice Blend: A comforting mix of ginger, cinnamon, and white fennel aimed at aiding metabolism and gut health.
“We wanted the entire experience to feel intentionally nourishing and comforting,” shares Chef Katrina.
Tea as Art and Wellness
The campaign was recently unveiled through an intimate tea soirée featuring a live tea-blending session. Guests also explored the versatility of tea through the work of tea artists Esang Ocampo and Rens Tuzon, who utilize tea as a painting medium to create bespoke artworks.
Continuing through the season, Ascott Makati will host a series of tea-centered wellness workshops and mindful rituals open to the public. These sessions will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, with updates provided via Ascott Makati’s official social media channels.
