Planning a getaway just got easier for frequent flyers as AirAsia rewards, the loyalty arm of Capital A, launches Points Booking, a new feature that gives members dedicated seat allocations on eligible AirAsia flights at least 30 days before departure.
The enhancement offers greater flexibility and certainty for members looking to turn their accumulated points into flights. To celebrate the launch, AirAsia rewards is offering 50% pointsback on eligible flight redemptions made until September 30, 2026.
Members can redeem flights across AirAsia’s domestic and international network, with redemption fares covering the flight base fare, taxes, and fees. For example, a Manila–Caticlan (Boracay) flight starts at 12,000 AirAsia points, with an all-in fare valued at approximately ₱1,845, while Manila–Kaohsiung starts at 20,000 points, valued at around ₱3,076.
“With dedicated seat allocations now available through Points Booking, members can enjoy greater value and have more confidence when planning their trips,” said Shannon Liew, Group Head of Loyalty, AirAsia rewards. She added that the 50% pointsback campaign gives members an opportunity to maximize their points while turning everyday spending into actual travel experiences.
How To Book With Points
The Points Booking feature is available through the AirAsia MOVE app, with a minimum balance of 500 AirAsia points required for eligible fares. Members can pay fully or partially with points and top up the remaining balance by credit card where applicable.
To redeem, simply open the AirAsia MOVE app, tap the “Points” tab, select “Fly on Points Booking” deals, choose a destination and travel date at least 30 days ahead, adjust the points using the slider, and tap “Redeem.”
Members can also convert eligible credit card, bank, and other loyalty points into AirAsia points through participating partners, helping them build their balance for future trips.
