AirAsia MOVE (MOVE) has once again been named “Asia’s Best Travel Booking App” at the World Travel Tech Awards 2025, marking its third consecutive win and reaffirming its position as the region’s leading homegrown online travel agent. The recognition follows a year of strong growth across users, bookings, and partnerships, further cementing MOVE’s expanding influence in Asia’s fast-growing travel landscape.
In 2025, MOVE sustained a solid base of 15 million monthly active users while recording notable increases across major booking categories. Hotel bookings rose by nearly 40%, and its signature SNAP Flight + Hotel bundle grew by 30%, with Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, and Kota Kinabalu emerging as top destinations. The platform also expanded its direct airline network, welcoming Sri Lankan Airlines, Royal Brunei, Ethiopian Airlines, and Vietjet Air (via GalaxyJoy), bringing its total to more than 70 direct airline partners.
“Winning this award for the third consecutive year is a meaningful recognition of what we are building—a travel platform born in ASEAN, made for ASEAN, and now serving Asia and beyond,” said Nadia Omer, CEO of AirAsia MOVE. She added that MOVE has evolved from an airline app into a multi-airline, multi-product OTA while strengthening collaborations with tourism authorities in Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, and Dubai to support regional travel growth. She credited the achievement to the dedication of every Allstar at MOVE and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to making travel more inclusive, engaging, and affordable.
MOVE’s next phase will focus on deeper personalization and social discovery, supported by enhancements to its AI-driven AskBo chatbot, a refreshed interface, and new offerings such as MOVETIX, its global live-events ticketing platform, and Cancel for Any Reason. With access to more than 700 airlines and over a million hotels, MOVE aims to help travellers stay curious, connected, and inspired.
