AirAsia MOVE (MOVE) is making event-inspired travel easier with a new offering that combines official event tickets and flights in a single booking, giving travelers a more convenient way to plan trips around concerts, festivals, sporting events, and other live experiences.
The new event + flights bundle launches with Djakarta Warehouse Project (DWP) 2026, one of Southeast Asia’s biggest electronic dance music festivals. Powered by MOVETIX, MOVE’s dedicated event platform, the offering is designed to provide travelers with better value while helping event organizers reach audiences beyond their home markets.
As live events increasingly influence travel decisions, the initiative aims to connect fans with experiences across ASEAN, while making cross-border event trips simpler to organize. According to MOVE, travel bookings to destinations around major events and concerts have increased by 10 to 15%, highlighting the growing connection between entertainment and tourism.
“Travel has been about more than getting from one place to another,” said Tony Fernandes, CEO of Capital A. “As live events increasingly inspire people to travel, we see a huge opportunity to connect more people with the music, culture and moments they love across Asean.”
Hassan Choudhury, Head of MOVETIX by AirAsia MOVE, said the new bundle responds to growing demand from travelers while giving organizers access to high-intent audiences already planning event-related trips.
The launch with DWP is being done in partnership with Ismaya Group, which has built the festival into a major destination event attracting fans from across Asia, Australia, and Europe.
“For the first time, a fan in Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, or Manila can plan their entire DWP trip, including tickets and flights, in one place,” said Christian Rijanto, Co-founder of Ismaya Group.
With DWP 2026 as its first launch, MOVE plans to work with more event organizers across ASEAN and beyond, creating new opportunities where travel and live entertainment come together.
