Accor, a global hospitality leader, has signed an agreement with Megaworld, the country’s largest township developer, to open Mövenpick Manila Bay Westside, marking the world’s largest Mövenpick hotel with 1,530 keys. The landmark project highlights Accor’s expansion in Asia and underscores the Group’s growing strength in the premium segment.
Rooted in Swiss heritage, Mövenpick is celebrated for its Joyful Reconnection philosophy, turning ordinary moments into extraordinary experiences through flavour, warmth, and thoughtful daily rituals. With premium hospitality seeing strong global momentum, Accor continues to expand its leadership in this segment, catering to the rising demand for high-quality, experience-driven stays.
Strategically located within Megaworld’s Westside City Township in Parañaque, the hotel benefits from an integrated tourism estate featuring retail, entertainment, business, and leisure attractions. Scheduled to open mid-2026, Mövenpick Manila Bay Westside will feature four culinary destinations, including a specialty Filipino restaurant, an international all-day dining venue, and a signature bar, alongside the brand’s famed Chocolate Hour, a complimentary afternoon experience.
The hotel is designed for both business and leisure, offering flexible meeting and event spaces that can host everything from intimate gatherings to large-scale conferences, indoors and outdoors.
“Partnering with Megaworld for Mövenpick Manila Bay Westside reflects our confidence in the Philippines as a growing market for premium hospitality,” said Andrew Langdon, Chief Development Officer, Asia, Accor. “This landmark project enhances our premium presence while contributing to long-term tourism growth.”
Cleofe Albiso, Managing Director of Megaworld Hotels & Resorts, added: “Opening the world’s largest Mövenpick demonstrates our commitment to world-class offerings, empowering local talent, and reinforcing the Philippines as a global destination. This development will create jobs, boost tourism, and allow communities to grow alongside it.”
With this debut, Accor will become the largest international hotel operator in the Philippines, managing 13 hotels with over 4,700 keys across eight brands, alongside a strong pipeline of 16 additional hotels.
