ABS-CBN has announced a new strategic joint venture between ABS-CBN Music and ABS-CBN Global, forming ABS-CBN Music International (AMI)—a platform designed to elevate Filipino music on the global stage while also introducing international talent to Filipino audiences.
The initiative marks a significant step in ABS-CBN’s evolution from a domestic entertainment powerhouse into a cross-border music and content ecosystem, leveraging its global Filipino network to expand reach and influence.
Riding the global momentum of P-pop
The launch comes amid growing international attention on Filipino music, led by the breakthrough of pop supergroup BINI, whose recent Coachella debut drew global interest and signaled a new phase for P-pop on the world stage.
BINI leader Jhoanna Robles welcomed the development, saying the group hopes to help “open more doors for more Filipino artists, music, and stories to be seen and heard worldwide.”
Building a cross-border music pipeline
ABS-CBN Music International will function as both a talent development and discovery platform, with two key objectives:
- Elevating Filipino artists to global audiences
- Introducing international talent into the Filipino music space
According to ABS-CBN executives, AMI aims to build a cross-border ecosystem of artists, content, and audiences, supported by the company’s global Filipino diaspora reach.
Jun del Rosario, head of ABS-CBN Global, said the initiative reflects the scale of current momentum in the industry, noting:
“Filipino music is no longer emerging — it’s here.”
ABS-CBN Music head Roxy Liquigan added that AMI is focused on expanding visibility, collaboration, and cultural impact on a global level.
First wave of artists
AMI launches with its initial roster featuring emerging Filipino acts such as:
- JMKO
- Acoya
They join a wider ABS-CBN Music lineup that includes:
- BINI
- BGYO
- Maki
- Maymay Entrata
Strengthening Filipino music’s global footprint
With decades of experience in entertainment through labels such as Star Music, Star Pop, and Tarsier Records, ABS-CBN is positioning AMI as a natural expansion of its legacy—this time with a stronger international focus.
The initiative reflects the broader rise of Filipino music in global conversations, driven by streaming growth, diaspora communities, and increasing visibility of P-pop on international stages.
