Art & Bali 2026 has wrapped its second edition at Nuanu Creative City in Bali, Indonesia, drawing around 10,000 visitors and showcasing the growing interest in contemporary art across the region. Held a year after the fair’s debut in 2025, the event featured 23 exhibitors and more than 300 artists, with nearly 300 works sold to local and international buyers.

The fair brought together galleries, artists, designers, collectors, and creative communities under its theme, “Bridging Dichotomies,” while positioning Bali as a meeting point for contemporary art and culture. The program also featured the flagship exhibition What The Body Remembers, presenting works by 26 artists, designers, and studios from Indonesia and India.

Connecting Southeast Asia’s Creative Community

The fair’s Nuanu Future Talks: Fashion & Art program brought together 21 speakers from government, art, fashion, design, and business to discuss topics including cultural ownership, emerging materials, digital art, and the development of new creative cities.

Government representatives also highlighted the role of platforms such as Art & Bali in supporting Indonesia’s creative economy. Irene Umar, Vice Minister of Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia, noted that artists, designers, and craftspeople benefit from spaces where they can connect with buyers and reach international audiences.

Participating galleries reflected the fair’s regional scope, including G13 Gallery from Kuala Lumpur, Bali-based Lanö Contemporary Art Gallery, Yogyakarta’s Sangkring Art Space, and Callisto × ArtLab, which brought together installation, sculpture, editions, and technology.

For Nuanu Creative City CEO Lev Kroll, the fair responds to a need for more platforms where Indonesia’s artists and makers can connect with the world. Meanwhile, Art & Bali Founding Director Kelsang Dolma said the return of collectors and early interest in the next edition point to growing engagement with Bali’s contemporary art scene.

While the fair has concluded, What The Body Remembers will remain on view at Labyrinth Art Gallery at Nuanu Creative City until November 29, 2026. Art & Bali is set to return for its third edition in September 2027.
