At Dreamforce 2026, Salesforce unveiled AIforce, a live interface layer designed to bring the platform’s data, workflows, business logic, permissions, security, and governance into the AI tools where people and agents already work.
Rather than requiring employees to open Salesforce and navigate traditional dashboards, AIforce allows them to access Salesforce information and take actions through interfaces such as Claude, Slack, and Lightning. Users can ask questions, update records, trigger workflows, and create customized interfaces using natural language, while agents can reason across connected Salesforce data and business processes.
Bringing Salesforce Beyond The Traditional Interface
AIforce forms part of Salesforce’s Agentic Enterprise architecture alongside Data 360, Customer 360, and Agentforce. The new layer is designed to make AI interfaces more intelligent, dynamic, secure, governed, and composable, while allowing businesses to work with their existing Salesforce permissions and business rules.
The platform also incorporates Zero Data Retention, with Salesforce stating that business data is used to answer the request and is not retained by the model provider.
AIforce launches with Claudeforce, Slackforce, and Agentforce Coworker, extending Salesforce capabilities into different working environments.
Claudeforce brings Salesforce intelligence into Claude through a prebuilt MCP server and launches with 37 sales skills covering areas such as prospecting and pipeline management. Slackforce brings Salesforce context into conversations and workflows in Slack, while features such as Slackforce Surfaces allow teams to create interactive interfaces from live business data.
Meanwhile, Agentforce Coworker operates directly within the Salesforce Lightning interface, where it can reason across accounts, activities, and customer history while working within existing permissions and business rules. Salesforce says more than 100,000 users activated Coworker within its first 35 days.
An Open Foundation For AI Experiences
AIforce is powered by Salesforce’s Headless Toolkit, which provides developers and builders with MCPs, APIs, plug-ins, skills, and developer tools for creating customized AI experiences.
The launch also expands opportunities for Salesforce’s global Trailblazer community, which marks its 20th anniversary this year. According to Salesforce, Trailblazers have built 12 million apps, generated 9.6 billion API calls daily, and earned more than 151 million Trailhead badges.
For businesses, AIforce represents Salesforce’s move toward making its enterprise data and business logic accessible wherever work happens, connecting human employees and AI agents through interfaces designed around how teams already work.
AIforce was unveiled during Dreamforce 2026, held September 15–17 in San Francisco and streamed through Salesforce+.
