Art & Bali 2026 opens at Nuanu Creative City in Bali, bringing together galleries, artists, designers, and cultural voices from across the region for three days of exhibitions, installations, performances, and conversations.

Running from September 11 to 13, the second edition features 23 galleries and art spaces and more than 300 artists across Nuanu’s 44-hectare creative development. Rather than taking place inside a traditional convention hall, the event integrates art presentations throughout the destination, creating an environment where visitors can experience creative work alongside the landscape and architecture.

The fair was inaugurated by the Ministry of Creative Economy of Indonesia, with Vice Minister Irene Umar highlighting the country’s creative talent across art, fashion, craft, and design and the importance of connecting these disciplines with wider audiences and markets.

Bridging Creative Traditions

Continuing its theme of “Bridging Dichotomies,” Art & Bali explores the relationship between tradition and modernity, nature and technology, and craft and the market.

The centerpiece is “What The Body Remembers,” a flagship exhibition curated by Bandana Tewari, with Brina Paska as assistant curator. The exhibition brings together 26 designers and makers from India and Indonesia, exploring how techniques passed down through generations can function as a form of memory.

Through cloth, dye, weaving, and other material practices, the exhibition examines how knowledge can be preserved through repeated gestures and transformed through each generation. Participating designers include 11.11 / eleven eleven, A. Sebastianus, Ayni, Gaurav Gupta, Raw Mango x Sanjay Garg, TOTON The Label, and other creative names from India and Indonesia.

While Art & Bali runs until September 13, What The Body Remembers will remain on view at Labyrinth Art Gallery in Nuanu Creative City until November 29, 2026, and is open to the public.

The program also features Nuanu Future Talks: Fashion & Art, bringing together more than 20 speakers to discuss cultural ownership, art and fashion, craft, technology, and the future of creative culture in Asia.

“Creative ecosystems are built through connection and curiosity,” said Lev Kroll, CEO of Nuanu Creative City, emphasizing the role of Art & Bali in connecting Indonesian art with international audiences while strengthening the relationship between creative industries and development.

Art & Bali 2026 runs September 11–13, 2026, at Nuanu Creative City in Tabanan, Bali. Tickets and the full program are available through Art & Bali.
