Filipino alternative quartet IV OF SPADES is turning back the clock with the release of “Isang Pag-ibig,” now available worldwide via Sony Music Entertainment.

Written nearly a decade ago, the track explores the search for genuine connection while confronting the painful reality that giving everything you have may still not be enough to make someone love you back.

Musically, “Isang Pag-ibig” takes a straightforward, no-frills approach. Built around jangly guitars, a simple three-chord progression, and a classic four-piece band arrangement, the song retains the loose and immediate quality of the period when it was written. Its simplicity allows the emotional weight of the lyrics to take center stage.

The release also signals a renewed period of creativity for the band, hinting at more music to come. Since reuniting in late 2025, Unique Salonga, Zild Benitez, Blaster Silonga, and Badjao de Castro have continued their comeback with a nationwide tour, major performances, award nominations, and international plans.

Their Andalucia Tour 2026 brought the group to Davao City, Santa Rosa, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu City, and Baguio. In October, IV OF SPADES will also take their music to North America, with performances scheduled in the United States and Canada.

The reunion has also brought renewed attention to the band’s earlier music. Their track “Kabisado” has earned nearly 80 million Spotify streams, peaked in the Top 10 of the Spotify Philippines Daily Chart, and reached No. 6 on the Billboard Philippines Hot 100.

Nearly 10 years after it was first written, “Isang Pag-ibig” now takes on a new meaning as IV OF SPADES enters another chapter of its story—connecting the band’s early creative years with its current resurgence.

“Isang Pag-ibig” is out now on all major digital streaming platforms worldwide via Sony Music Entertainment. Its official music video is also available on the IV OF SPADES YouTube channel.
