Independent Philippine-based music label Offshore Music has welcomed budding soul and pop artist Paco Pastor to its growing roster, marking another milestone in the young singer-songwriter’s developing career.
The 19-year-old Manila-based artist draws heavily from the soft and sensual qualities of soul music while embracing a genuine approach to songwriting, production, and live performance. Rather than limiting himself to one sound or identity, Pastor sees his artistry as a blend of different influences and colors.
Among the female artists who have influenced his musical direction are Sade, Nectar Woode, and Olivia Dean. Pastor says their music helped him embrace a more feminine side of his artistic personality and celebrate those qualities in his own creative journey.
His decision to pursue music was also encouraged by his best friend, Alysha, who pushed him to consider performing despite it never being part of his original plans. With the support of his artist parents, Pastor eventually began taking his passion for music more seriously.
His journey gained momentum this year when he made his live debut with a full band at one of Offshore Music’s self-produced gigs. He later began performing and jamming with experienced musicians through his management team at Waddle House Manila, eventually catching the attention of Offshore Music.
For Artist & Repertoire Manager Dani Mendoza, Pastor stood out as an artist with a strong creative identity and a hands-on approach to his craft.
“He is his own producer, he is his own songwriter, his own performer,” Mendoza shared, describing Pastor as the “full package” when it comes to his brand, performance, and music.
Building His Own Sound
Although he is a new name in the Philippine music scene, Pastor has already begun building a personal discography. His passion for soul music started at a young age and developed into a creative process where he writes, records, produces, and shapes his own material.
In 2025, Pastor released his debut single “There Somehow,” followed by his four-track EP Gotta Be, which features songs including “Talking to the Moon.” He also explored a softer and more intimate sound with the Christmas track “Hey Dear.”
With his addition to Offshore Music, Paco Pastor enters a new chapter in his musical journey—one that gives his distinct soul-pop sound a wider platform while allowing him to continue developing his identity as an artist.
