Okada Foundation, Inc. (OFI) has donated ₱20 million to the Malasakit and Bayanihan Foundation, Inc. to support humanitarian relief efforts and educational assistance for Filipino families and underprivileged graduates nationwide.
The donation was formally turned over on August 11 at Okada Manila, with OFI President James Lorenzana and representatives of the Malasakit and Bayanihan Foundation, led by Secretary General and Treasurer Marc Benedict R. Talavera and Chief of Staff Dr. Shane Kinsley E. Veloso, in attendance. Also present were Atty. John Cyril E. Santiago, Utopia G. Cuyugan-Talavera, and Mariano L. Valiente Jr.
The contribution will fund the foundation’s “Malasakit sa Kapwa” Nationwide Humanitarian and Educational Recognition Program, providing grocery packs containing food and hygiene essentials to indigent families, particularly those affected by natural and man-made disasters. It will also support graduation grocery gift packs for underprivileged graduates of state universities and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) institutions.

As the charitable arm of Okada Manila, OFI views the partnership as an opportunity to provide practical assistance to Filipino families and communities facing challenging circumstances.
The donation is intended to help families recover from disasters while also supporting underprivileged graduates as they complete their education and prepare for the next stage of their lives.
