This August, Manila is turning peach as adidas Basketball welcomes global athlete and basketball superstar Anthony Edwards to the Philippines.
To celebrate Edwards’ highly anticipated arrival, adidas Basketball is bringing fans, hoopers, and the wider basketball community together for a week of activations inspired by his signature mindset: Believe That.
The celebration will culminate in the free-to-attend Anthony Edwards Fan Fest on August 15 at Bonifacio Global City (BGC), transforming the heart of the district into Ant’s world through a mix of basketball, culture, entertainment, and community experiences.
The Believe That. Tour Merch Store
August 9–16 | adidas 5th Avenue
The festivities begin on August 9, when adidas 5th Avenue becomes the Believe That. Tour Merch Store, taking inspiration from the merchandise stops of global concert tours.
The store will be transformed through Edwards’ signature peach aesthetic, offering fans exclusive “Manila, Believe That.” tees, limited-edition decals created with Filipino artist Charlie Salazar, and a curated selection of Anthony Edwards footwear and apparel.
Also featured are adidas Philippines’ two basketball special make-ups for 2026: the Anthony Edwards 2 “Magpakitang Gilas” and the recently released Believe That. 1 “Tibay ng Lahi,” both designed by Filipino creative Melvin Rodas.
The Manila-exclusive tees and tour decals will be available at the Believe That. Tour Merch Store beginning August 9, followed by select adidas stores across Metro Manila and adidas.com.ph.
The adidas x Foot Locker Believe That. Challenge
August 14 | BHS Amphitheatre
The basketball action heats up on August 14 as adidas and Foot Locker stage the Believe That. Challenge, a nationwide 1v1 basketball tournament inspired by Edwards’ fearless, high-energy style of play.
Aspiring competitors can earn a spot by purchasing any pair of the Anthony Edwards 2 or Believe That. 1 from Foot Locker stores or footlocker.ph and completing the online registration process before August 9.
One champion will walk away with ₱100,000 and have the opportunity to receive the championship crown directly from Anthony Edwards.
For spectators, the tournament is free and open to the public, offering fans a chance to witness some of the country’s most competitive one-on-one basketball up close.
Anthony Edwards Fan Fest
August 15 | 5th Avenue and C1 Park, BGC
The week-long celebration reaches its peak on August 15 with the Anthony Edwards Fan Fest, taking over BGC’s 5th Avenue and C1 Park.
Free and open to the public, the Fan Fest invites fans to spend an afternoon and evening immersed in the world of Anthony Edwards and the Believe That. movement.
The experience will feature interactive basketball challenges, with exclusive tour merchandise up for grabs, alongside a Gamer Zone where adiClub members can compete on NBA 2K using PlayStation 5 consoles.
Fans can also explore photo moments and installations designed specifically for the event, as well as lifestyle, community, and brand activations spread throughout the festival grounds.
And with Edwards himself making his long-awaited arrival, fans will want to keep an eye on the streets of BGC. As evening falls over 5th Avenue, thousands are expected to gather for a live stage program officially welcoming the NBA star to Manila and celebrating his first visit to the Philippines with adidas.
Bringing Believe That. to Manila
For adidas Philippines, Edwards’ visit is an opportunity to celebrate the unique connection between the athlete and Filipino basketball culture.
“We’ve always wanted to bring Anthony Edwards to the Philippines because we know how much Filipino fans connect with his personality and the way he plays the game,” said Dave Sexton, Country Manager of adidas Philippines.
“Ant represents a new generation of basketball athletes who are as influential off the court as they are on it. The Fan Fest is our way of celebrating that connection while also bringing together the incredible basketball community that makes the Philippines one of the most passionate basketball nations in the world. We’re excited to give fans a chance to experience that energy firsthand in a way no other brand has done.”
From exclusive merchandise and Filipino-designed footwear to competitive basketball and an up-close Fan Fest experience, adidas is bringing the energy of Anthony Edwards’ Believe That. mentality to Manila—one peach-colored celebration at a time.
