Okada Foundation, Inc. (OFI), the charitable arm of Okada Manila, has donated PHP 165 million worth of medical equipment and healthcare resources to help improve access to quality healthcare services in Davao Oriental.
The donation, formally turned over during the 55th Founding Anniversary Celebration of the Davao Oriental Provincial Medical Center (DOPMC) on July 24, 2026, includes modern medical equipment for the provincial hospital and Super Health Centers in Lupon and San Isidro, as well as a customized mobile clinic.
Expanding healthcare access
Improving access to quality healthcare remains one of Okada Foundation’s key priorities as it works with local governments and healthcare institutions to strengthen regional health systems and expand essential medical services.
As the corporate social responsibility arm of Okada Manila, the foundation continues to support initiatives that create long-term benefits for Filipino communities through investments in healthcare, education, and community development.
Medical equipment for hospitals and health centers
The ceremonial turnover was led by Okada Foundation President James Lorenzana, together with Dr. Reden V. Bersaldo, Provincial Health Officer II and Chief of Hospital, Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go, Governor Nelson L. Dayanghirang, and other provincial officials and healthcare leaders.
Among the highlights of the event was the blessing and ribbon-cutting ceremony for DOPMC’s new floor-mounted digital X-ray system, followed by the formal turnover of the donated medical equipment.
The donation includes:
- Digital X-ray machines
- Ultrasound machines
- ECG units
- Ventilators
- Laboratory analyzers
- Sterilizers
- Hospital beds
- Other essential medical equipment
The Super Health Center in Lupon also received a customized mobile clinic designed to bring healthcare services closer to remote and underserved communities.
Together, these resources are expected to improve diagnostic capabilities, emergency response, patient treatment, and the overall delivery of healthcare services across the province.

According to James Lorenzana, the donation reflects the foundation’s commitment to making quality healthcare more accessible for Filipino families.
“Every Filipino deserves the opportunity to receive quality healthcare close to home. Dr. Bersaldo welcomed the support, noting that the additional equipment will strengthen the province’s public healthcare services.
