Kathryn Bernardo Headlines Cinema One's August Blockbuster Sundays Lineup

Fresh from her primetime return in “Someone, Someday,” Asia’s Superstar Kathryn Bernardo takes the spotlight on Cinema One’s Blockbuster Sundays this August with a month-long showcase of some of her biggest film hits.

Airing every Sunday at 7 p.m., the lineup features stories of love, family, sacrifice, and self-discovery that have become defining moments in Kathryn’s film career.

Aug. 2 – “The Hows of Us”

Kathryn stars as George, whose long-term relationship with Primo (Daniel Padilla) is put to the test by financial struggles, career setbacks, and the realities of adulthood. The romantic drama explores whether love alone can sustain a relationship amid life’s growing challenges.

Aug. 9 – “Barcelona: A Love Untold”

Set against the backdrop of Spain, the film follows Ely (Daniel Padilla), who relocates to Barcelona to escape his painful past. There, he meets Mia (Kathryn Bernardo), a fellow Filipino rebuilding her life abroad. Together, they discover that love can offer healing, forgiveness, and second chances.

Aug. 16 – “Three Words to Forever”

Kathryn joins veteran actors Richard Gomez and Sharon Cuneta in this family drama. As a couple prepares to celebrate a milestone anniversary, buried conflicts threaten to tear the family apart. Kathryn plays Tin, their daughter, who finds herself caught between her parents’ struggles while navigating her own future.

Aug. 23 – “Can’t Help Falling in Love”

Kathryn plays Gab dela Cuesta, a successful professional who is stunned to discover that she is legally married to Dos Gonzales (Daniel Padilla), a carefree stranger. Their efforts to undo the accidental marriage gradually turn into an unexpected love story.

Aug. 30 – “Hello, Love, Goodbye”

Closing the month’s lineup is Kathryn’s blockbuster film with Alden Richards. She portrays Joy, an overseas Filipino worker in Hong Kong determined to secure a better future for her family. As she falls for bartender Ethan, she must choose between pursuing her dreams and embracing love.
