Leading health maintenance organization Maxicare Group has partnered with the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) to provide more accessible and affordable healthcare coverage for active government employees and their qualified dependents across the Philippines.

The partnership, formalized through a Memorandum of Agreement, makes Maxicare the first accredited health maintenance organization (HMO) under the GSIS Ginhawa Health Assistance Loan (G-HEALTH) Program, allowing eligible public servants to maximize their government-provided medical benefits through comprehensive HMO plans.

The initiative is anchored on Executive Order Nos. 64 (2024) and 95 (2025), which provide qualified government employees with a dedicated medical allowance that can be used to access healthcare services and insurance benefits.

“We’re very, very proud to be part of this,” said Christian Argos, Maxicare Group President and Chief Executive Officer. “Our goal with this partnership is to give every single government employee a choice to get better healthcare benefits.”

Expanding healthcare access through digital services

Under the agreement, Maxicare will provide healthcare coverage, benefits administration, claims processing, dedicated member support, and access to its nationwide network of clinics and accredited hospitals.

Meanwhile, GSIS will administer financing through the G-HEALTH loan program, enabling members to pay HMO premiums more conveniently while enjoying immediate healthcare coverage without significant upfront costs.

Eligible GSIS members will soon be able to browse, select, and enroll in Maxicare G-HEALTH plans directly through the GSIS Touch mobile application. The digital platform is designed to provide a seamless enrollment experience while giving members convenient access to Maxicare’s healthcare ecosystem, including primary care clinics and comprehensive HMO coverage.

Supporting the country’s public servants

The partnership reinforces Maxicare’s commitment to making quality healthcare more accessible, particularly for government employees who play a vital role in delivering public services nationwide.

Depending on the plan selected, eligible principal members and qualified dependents may receive healthcare coverage with an Annual Benefit Limit (ABL) of up to ₱150,000.

“Our goal is to create a healthcare plan that allows you to decide, no matter what your priorities are, through the GSIS Touch App. With our partnership with GSIS, we solve a lot of problems in one goal,” Argos said.

Government employees eligible for the G-HEALTH Program will soon be able to enroll in their preferred Maxicare healthcare plan through the GSIS Touch app. More information on Maxicare’s health plans, services, and nationwide clinic network is available on the company’s official website.
